WPU into Top 10 for First Time Ever

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s soccer team took care of its business and then got some help from upsets as the NAIA released its seventh top-25 poll Wednesday.

Sitting on a four-game winning streak, William Penn (13-3, 8-1 Heart) moved into the top 10 for the first time in school history, taking the #10 position with 351 points.

WPU is one of five Heart of America Athletic Conference programs in the poll. Central Methodist continues to be #1 with 498 points and 17 first-place votes, while Grand View, at #16, and Baker, at #20, are also ranked. Missouri Valley is in the receiving votes section, unofficially claiming the #27 spot.

The remainder of the top five includes Columbia (Mo.) (with the final first-place vote), William Carey (Miss.), Westmont (Calif.), and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
