Prescription Take Back Results
Oskaloosa Police Department
On April 30th 2011, the Oskaloosa Police Department participated in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). As a result, 78 pounds of unwanted medication was removed from the greater Oskaloosa area and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Overall, the State of Iowa disposed of 5,142 pounds of unwanted medication compared to 1,569 pounds collected during the same event held in September 2010. The Oskaloosa Police Department would like to thank MCG for allowing the take back event to be held in their parking lot in conjunction with the e-cycling event.
