Mahaska County, Iowa – Road construction had traffic at a standstill on Highway 92 west of Oskaloosa on Tuesday.

Four vehicles were waiting at the construction zone, when a fifth failed to notice the traffic that was stopped in front of them.

Only one injury was reported, according to an Iowa State Patrol report. Richard Connop, age 58 of Winfield, Iowa, was transported to Mahaska Health Partnership with unknown injuries.

A 2015 Chevy 3500 truck, driven by 57 year old Bruce Veenstra, was towed away by Bill & Rays.

At least two of the other vehicles were driven away from the scene of the accident.
