Three people were shot in Kansas over the weekend during a confrontation over a stolen lawn sign supporting President Trump.

Officers responded to the incident and found one person with several gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed. The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two other victims also showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds.

No details about the victims were shared and no arrests have been made.

Chicago authorities said four people were killed in weekend shootings, with at least 26 injured.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that three of the four deadly shootings occurred within 90 minutes of each other on Saturday. The other death involved a 32-year-old man who was shot in the head. No arrests have been made in any of the shootings.

The outlet also noted that murders in the city are up 50% compared to last year, with more officers being shot at. Other crimes have dropped 7%.

US Marshals found 27 missing children during a rescue operation in Virginia on Friday.

The effort, dubbed “Operation Find Our Children,” was the latest in a series of operations led by the US Marshals Service that helped locate hundreds of endangered and missing children.

No word on how many arrests were made in connection to the operation.

A man in Texas biked more than 3,000 miles around the perimeter of the state, creating an almost perfect depiction of the Texas map with his journey.

Aaron Chambarlain completed the trek in 58 days—6 for rest and 52 for riding.

Many praised his accomplishment on social media, with one follower offering him “the worlds biggest @RealAleBrewing Hans’ Pils” upon his return.

One of the officers involved in the death of Breonna Taylor is now suing her boyfriend for alleged assault, battery and emotional distress.

Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly claims that Taylor’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker fired a shot that hit him in the leg after officers entered their home. He was the only officer wounded in the incident.

Walker’s lawyer responded to the suit saying that his client is “immune from both criminal prosecution and civil liability as he was acting in self defense.” Walker has filed his own suit against several of the officers involved.

A giant sculpture of a whale’s tail saved an elevated metro train from a 32-foot drop to the ground after it slammed past the end of a railway in the Netherlands yesterday.

The driver of the train was not injured and there were no passengers aboard when it plowed through the stop barriers at the end of the station and rested on top of the massive fin.

Coincidentally enough, the sculpture, made of reinforced polyester, is called “Saved by the Whale’s Tail,” according to the Guardian.

An investigation into how the incident occurred is ongoing, according to local authorities.

Cookie Poll Update:

The Pennsylvania bakery who has been selling Trump and Biden themed cookies has announced a clear frontrunner.

As previously reported, Lochel’s, a family-owned bakery in Hatboro, has “accurately predicted the outcome of the last three elections.”

And the winner is…

Based on cookie sales, Trump is the clear frontrunner. The bakery reports that the “Trump” cookies are outselling the “Biden” cookies by a margin of almost 6 to 1.

The CDC says it is okay to vote even if you have the coronavirus.

The agency posted an update on its website Sunday that reads: “Voters have the right to vote, regardless of whether they are sick or in quarantine.”

The CDC does advise those feeling ill to “wear a mask, maintain proper distance and practice good hand hygiene both before and after voting.”

Those infected with the virus should also let poll workers know they are sick or under quarantine upon arrival.

At least one person has died and several others were injured during a terror attack throughout the city of Vienna, Austria on Monday night.

Counterterrorism sources told Fox News that there were multiple shooters in six different locations throughout the city, indicating a coordinated & well-planned attack.

As of Monday evening, one of the suspects had been shot by police.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 423 points, the Nasdaq Composite gained 46 points and the S&P 500 rose 40 points on Monday.

Strong manufacturing data drove market performance during the session as the steepest gains ever recorded came during the month of October. The increased manufacturing activity helped oil gain 2.9 percent to begin the new week.

Shares of Clorox gained more than 4 percent after reporting its strongest quarterly sales growth in over two decades.

Sophie Turner will voice Princess Charlotte in the upcoming HBO Max animated series, “The Prince.”

The show uses satire and parody to tell the story of the Royal Family through Prince George’s eyes.

Series creator Gary Janetti will voice the young prince, while Iwan Rheon and Lucy Punch will play his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, respectively. Orlando Bloom has signed on to voice Prince Harry, while Condola Rashad will voice his wife Meghan Markle.

A release date has not been announced.

Sean Connery’s widow told the Daily Mail that the actor struggled with dementia in his final months.

Micheline Roquebrune explained that the disease “took its toll on him.” She also said that he “got his final wish to slip away without any fuss,” calling his passing “peaceful.”

As previously reported, Connery passed away over the weekend at 90-years-old.

Justice Andrew Nicol stated that while “Depp proved the necessary elements of his cause of action,” the defendants have shown that what was written “was substantially true.”

Jeannie Mai has been forced to leave “Dancing With the Stars” due to health concerns.

The TV host was hospitalized after being diagnosed with epiglottis, an inflammatory condition that can cause swelling and block airflow to the lungs. She will undergo surgery to help relieve the issue.

Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler has “full movement” after a devastating hit during Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

The rookie was attempting to tackle Packers running back AJ Dillon when he crashed into another player, causing his head and neck to snap back. He was evaluated by Vikings trainers on the field before being strapped onto a backboard and carted off the field.

1493 – Christopher Columbus lays eyes on the Caribbean island Dominga for the first time. He named it for the day of the week he spotted it, which was a Sunday.

It changed hands from the French to the British in 1763. It remained a colony of the Crown until 1978, when it became an independent nation.

Today the small island holds nearly 72,500 inhabitants. It’s a popular tourist spot known for its untouched rainforests and thriving exotic animal populations.

1903 – The Panamanians declare independence from Colombia.

The separatist faction was powered principally by the Panama Canal Company, a joint French-American company looking to build what would become the Panama Canal. A treaty was ratified that would have the US pay the Colombian government for use of the land for building the canal.

When the Colombians reneged on the agreement, President Roosevelt ordered support for a rebellion in Panama. By November 6, the Republic of Panama was officially recognized by the US, and a new treaty was negotiated with the new government. The terms were $10 million up-front and $250,000 annually, beginning 9 years later.

1957 – The Reds put the first animal into space–a dog named Laika—on board the Sputnik 2 spacecraft.

The Siberian husky had been a stray living in Moscow before being rescued and put into the space program. She was hooked up with electrodes to monitor her vitals, and relay the information back to Soviet engineers and doctors.

She died when the life-support system crapped out.

Of the 12 recorded launches of dogs into space by the Soviets, at least 5 died. They were all paving the way for the launch of the first human into space.

1976 – The horror flick, “Carrie,” based on Stephen King’s novel, opens in theaters nationwide.

The horror film launched Sissy Spacek’s acting career – she even received a Best Actress nomination for the role. John Travolta also had a part.

The movie’s success helped to explode Stephen King’s writing career, with many of his tales being adapted for film. Among them: “The Shining,” “Stand by Me,” “Misery,” “Dolores Claiborne,” and “The Green Mile.”

1986 – A Lebanese magazine publishes a story exposing American arms sales to Iran in exchange for the release of the 7 American hostages held in that country.

US intel confirmed the reports 3 days later, shocking even some inside President Reagan’s inner circle. The scandal exploded when it was revealed by the Attorney General that the money from the sales went to fund anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua. Congress was outraged; it had passed the Boland Amendment in 1982 which prohibited the use of any federal funds “for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Nicaragua.”

While Reagan admitted knowledge of the sales to Iranian rebels, he did not claim to know anything about spending money on the Contras.

Deaths

Eddie Hassell has died.

The actor, best known for his roles in NBC’s “Surface” and movie “The Kids Are All Right,” was shot dead early Sunday in Texas. A rep for Hassell told Variety that the actor was shot in what appears to be a carjacking, but the incident is under investigation.

He was 30.

Nate Burrell has died.

A participant on A&E’s docuseries “60 Days In” died by suicide Saturday night in his hometown of Allegan, Michigan, according to his sister. Prior to his death, Burrell made an alarming post on Facebook referencing his wife, with whom he was separated from.

He was 33.
