WPU Remains #3 in Current Poll

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s basketball team opens 2018 in the same position it ended 2017 as the NAIA Division I poll was released Tuesday.
WPU (12-1, 2-1 Heart) has 202 points to remain #3 in the nation. The navy and gold are joined in the top 25 by fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference program Central Methodist, which is #12. Graceland (#28) and Grand View (#34) are receiving votes as well.
Georgetown (Ky.) is first with 219 points and eight first-place votes, while Carroll (Mont.), with the last first-place vote, is second. LSU Shreveport and The Master’s (Calif.) round out the top five.
William Penn returns to action Wednesday to host Benedictine in Heart play at 7:30 p.m.
