Oskaloosa–With students still on break, Wednesday’s night’s basketball doubleheader against Benedictine is all about the community and its support of Statesmen athletics as William Penn will host a Community Appreciation Night.

William Penn will face the Ravens in Penn Gymnasium with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men to follow at 7:30 p.m. To show its appreciation, WPU will give free admission to all fans with an Iowa driver’s license. All children under the age of 18 will also receive free admission.

“We are very grateful for the community support we receive throughout the year for all of our teams,” WPU Athletics Director Nik Rule said. “This is our way of saying Thank You and welcoming folks back to Penn Gymnasium for an exciting semester of basketball.”

In addition to the free admission, fans will also have the opportunity to get a delicious meal as the William Penn Board of Advisors will be serving up chili. Game attendees can purchase chili, a hot dog, and water for $5. The meal will be served from 5 p.m. and will run through halftime of the women’s game or until the chili is gone.

If you cannot make it to the game, you can still follow the action at www.statesmenathletics.com
