William Penn Finally Breaks in at #24

Oskaloosa–For the first time in program history, the Statesmen men’s golf team is ranked as the NAIA’s fourth top-25 poll was released Friday.
WPU moved from unranked in the last poll to 24th with 95 points; the squad was 26th in the second rating back in November. William Penn leads all Heart of America Athletic Conference representatives, while Grand View is in the receiving votes section at #36 with 14 points.
Oklahoma City leads the NAIA with 498 points and all 18 first-place votes. Texas Wesleyan is second, while Dalton State (Ga.), Coastal Georgia, and USC Beaufort (S.C.) round out the top five.
William Penn travels to Salina, Kan. next Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational at Salina CC.
