William Penn Falls into Receiving Votes Section

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf team took another small bump backwards as the NAIA released its third top-25 rating Friday.

WPU is now unofficially 27th in the nation with 79 points, losing two positions from its previous mark of #25. The navy and gold are the only Heart of America Athletic Conference representatives in the ranking.

Keiser (Fla.) is still first in the NAIA with 496 points and 15 first-place votes, while Dalton State (Ga.) is making its case for the top spot with 484 points and three first-place nods. William Carey (Miss.), Southeastern (Fla.), and Taylor (Ind.) are third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, as the top five remains unchanged.

WPU travels to Silvis, Ill. Monday and Tuesday to host the TPC Deere Run Invitational. Play will be contested at the TPC Deere Run Golf Course.
