This Day in Weather History November 28
1987: A snow storm struck about the western half of Iowa from November 27-28 with the heaviest snowfall occurring in southwestern areas of the state. The highest reported storm total accumulations included 7.0 inches at Atlantic, Bedford, and Logan, 7.8 inches at Creston, 8.0 inches at Sidney, 9.0 inches at Castana and Glenwood, 10.0 inches at Red Oak, and 12.0 inches at Clarinda.
