Piet Honored as Heart Bowler of the Week

Oskaloosa–Aidan Piet (So., Meridian, Idaho, Business Management) finished high in the standings last weekend, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Bowler of the Week Monday.

Piet, who garnered his second career laurel (first this season), helped the Statesmen place 13th at the ISYL Leatherneck Classic last Saturday and Sunday.

The sophomore finished 15th out of 385 total bowlers with 1,100 pins in five games for a 220.0 average. All five of his games were in the 200s, including a high of 245 in his opening round.

For the year, Piet owns a 214.4 average in 16 games with a high game of 258. He has placed in the top 25 in all three of WPU’s competitions so far this year.

The award is the first for WPU in 2024-2025.
