Oskaloosa Girls Varsity Look To More Wins

The Oskaloosa girls entered the holiday break winning two of their last three games and look to pick up more wins in 2019.

Currently, Grinnell leads the LHC at 5-0, while DCG and Pella are each 4-1. Indianola and Pella Christian both sit at 2-3 while Oskaloosa, Norwalk, and Newton are all 1-4.

Over the holiday break, Oskaloosa scrimmaged Sigourney, and Coach Jacie White was impressed with what she saw from her girls on the floor. She says they’ve shown extreme improvements in breaking the press on offense, but continue to need to get better at getting into offensive sets after breaking the press. She says defensive improvement has been a significant focus over the break and feels the team is gaining confidence, learning to play better together and feels they’ll catch some teams by surprise during the 2019 portion of the season.
