Oskaloosa, Iowa – A yearly tradition of painting the street at the Oskaloosa High School / Middle School Complex was moved last year after the tradition became a safety concern.

This year, Oskaloosa High School Seniors took their painting skills to ‘Indian Trail’. The trail is a portion of the road on the north side of the high school parking lots.

Deciding to paint her name to the trail, “was kind of a last minute thing for me,” explained Oskaloosa Senior Taylor Green. “Like I literally just got paint.”

Like the old saying goes, ‘location, location, location’. This holds true for Seniors looking to have their creations out front, and since the Seniors aren’t having to dodge traffic, the police and school administrators, the creativity has flourished on ‘Indian Trail’.
