Ogunsanya Earns Second POW Honor of Season
Oskaloosa–Christianah Ogunsanya (So., Akure, Nigeria, Kinesiology) parlayed a big win over a highly-ranked foe into being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Week Monday, presented by Musco Lighting.
Ogunsanya earned her second accolade of the season (fourth of her career) after handling a league opponent last Tuesday.
In William Penn’s dual meet against Missouri Valley, the No. 1-ranked sophomore dominated No. 3 Zao Estrada, claiming an 11-0 technical fall in a time of just 3:20.
For the year, Ogunsanya is 6-0 with five technical falls.
The weekly laurel is the sixth for WPU this year.
