Local Hotel Owner Offers Gesture To Local Firefighters

Oskaloosa firefighters enjoy a free complimentary breakfast at the Oskaloosa Comfort Inn as a sign of appreciation for their service.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Emergency personnel put it on the line day in and day out for the people in their community, and one local business owner wanted to say thank you to them for their service.

Rajan Bhatt, General Manager at the Comfort Inn Oskaloosa, invited the Oskaloosa Firefighters out for breakfast on Saturday as a way of saying thank-you.

Bhatt said that they host families that have lost their homes after a disaster has happened, and those people always talk highly about the firefighters. Blatt appreciates all of the sacrifices firefighters make for complete strangers.

“It’s just something that I wanted to do,” says Bhatt. “We just want to be a part of the community.”
