Local Business Says Good-bye To Oskaloosa

The Hall Tree of Oskaloosa will soon be closing it's doors forever.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – A downtown Oskaloosa fixture, The Hall Tree by Geri and Co. located on the Southwest corner of the square, will be shutting it’s doors on the 27th of August.

This week, they have marked everything down 45% off their regular priced items, and next week brings 55% off “and our sale racks sale red tag items are extra percent off,” says Geri Harnisch, owner of The Hall Tree.

Most everything in the store is for sale, including the fixtures, the awning, and also the mannequins.

Like many businesses, it’s been difficult in the current economy and Geri states, “2010 was just killer for us.” With the beginning of the year being normally their slower months, it become too much. “We could just never get back up on our feet,” Geri says of the tough economic climate. “We tried to move forward but we just couldn’t,”she also said.

Geri is like many post small business owners when things don’t turn out the way they would like. She’s looking at getting into college admissions and using her experience and education in moving forward from this point. Like many who work daily with the public, it’s those people that are frequent customers that mean so much that will make it the most difficult once you walk away for good.

If you need any further information, contact Geri Harnisch at 641.672.1010 or stop by The Hall Tree located at 121 S Market St. They are also on the web: http://www.thehalltreeosky.com/halltree/home.php
