Obituary:
Private family services for Jody Evans of Rockwell City, Iowa were held at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Joseph George Evans (Jody) was born on January 25, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Lorraine (Roff) Evans and Frank Evans.
Shortly after birth, Jody was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He was never able to walk and did not talk. In spite of this limitation, he was able to bring joy to people who knew him. Jody lived at Sunny Knoll Care Centre in Rockwell City for over 40 years and was considered to be a part of the families of the people who lived and worked there and he was very well loved and cared for.
He passed away on, Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Sunny Knoll Care Centre at the age of 61 years and 11 months.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jardy Evans.
His sister Stevie, Stephanie Sogard of Grand Forks, North Dakota, will miss him and the times they shared together.
