GRINNELL MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM IS 6TH IN PRESEASON REGIONAL RANKINGS

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men’s cross country, coming off a strong 2010 campaign, is sixth in the NCAA Division III Central Region rankings compiled by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

In 2010, the Pioneers not only won yet another Midwest Conference title, but also claimed the Central Region crown.

Hamline is the top-ranked team in the Central Region, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan, Saint John’s (Minn.), St. Thomas (Minn.) and Loras. After sixth-ranked Grinnell it’s Luther, St. Olaf, Carleton and Wartburg.

Nebraska Wesleyan is the top-ranked women’s team in the Central Region.
