Fairfield Man Dies In Wapello County Accident

From the Wapello County Sheriff’s Department – On December 11th, 2012 at or about 3:30 a.m. the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a single vehicle accident near the intersection of Compentine Rd and 165th Street in rural eastern Wapello County. At the time of the accident there were 2 persons in the vehicle. Patrick Gridley age 65 of Fairfield died from his injuries sustained in the accident. The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Iowa State Patrol with the investigation to this accident.
