C-SPAN Bus Tours Iowa During The Straw Poll Week

C-SPAN bus tour made a stop over in Grinnell on Thursday afternoon.

Grinnell, Iowa – The C-SPAN bus made another local stop yesterday, this time in Grinnell. Recently, the bus was in Ottumwa. “We’re showcasing all our educational resources that we have at the network,” said Doug Hemming, Marketing Representative with C-SPAN.

C-SPAN is a private, not for profit network that is designed to “kind of be a fly on the wall type network, to deliver the process,” Hemming continued.

He went on to explain that the bus and it’s tour “helps compliment that missing by showcasing other ways they can access our resources,” Hemming said of the purpose of showing users what C-SPAN can do for them.

The technology being shown off insides the C-SPAN bus was impressive and interesting.

The bus will be on tour yet again today, having  already visited 9 cities in Iowa during the week, working it’s way towards Ames and the Straw Poll that is scheduled to happen on Saturday.

Hemming said the bus should be back in Iowa during the time leading up to the Iowa Caucuses.
