Beaver’s Career-Best Race Nets First Weekly Award
Oskaloosa–D’Artagnon Beaver (Jr., Rockford, Ill., Undecided) hit the finish line in his fastest time ever and his efforts helped him to be named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Monday.
Beaver won his first weekly laurel by guiding William Penn at the Flaming Tiger NAIA Classic last Saturday.
In the incredibly competitive race, the junior placed 38th out of 288 runners with a career-best time of 25:32.2. In addition to being his fastest race ever, it is also the sixth-best 8K time in school history and the best performance for WPU since 2016.
Beaver also has three top-three finishes this fall.
The award is the third for WPU this year.
