Firefighters Battle Garage Fire

Oskaloosa firefighters battled this garage fire early Monday morning at 1010 High Ave East.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa firefighters were called to the scene of a garage fully engulfed early Monday morning. A passerby noticed the flames and called 911, and emergency personnel were dispatched shortly after 1am Monday. Twelve firefighters were on the scene for less than two hours. Judge Denies Mahaska County’s Request To Dismiss Case

Legal documents were filed in Mahaska County District Court by Pella and Oskaloosa to force Mahaska County to once again participate in the 28E agreement for a regional airport.

Both the boys and girls bowling teams won their home opener on Saturday.

The Oskaloosa Girls racked up a total of 2278 pins, while Pella Christian came in with 1731, while Centerville had 1660. Oskaloosa, Iowa – A gymnasium full of Oskaloosa Indians fans welcomed back the Oskaloosa Dance Dynamix team after taking home 1st place in three categories. Dance Dynamix brought home the top spot in Coed Dance, Pom, and Jazz. They also got second place in Hip Hop, their first year in that category.
