2 Vehicle Accident in Keokuk County

Maleah Mast of Kinross was driving her 2001 Chevrolet Malibu West on Highway 22 when she dropped something on the floor of her car. The accident happened at approximately 9 am on December 22.
Mast bent down to pick it up but was to late in noticing the model 280 Skid Loader driven by Daniel Grove of South English in front of her. She hit the brakes and swerved hitting the skid loader on the rear driver side, Mast continued to slide and ended up in the North ditch.
Mast was charged with failure to maintain control, and Grove was charged with failure to display reflective device on slow moving vehicle.
There were no injuries to report.
