William Penn Looking for League Respect in 2021

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s soccer team is seeking to improve on its reputation this fall as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Coaches’ Poll was recently released.

WPU, which owned a 3-12-1 mark last year (2-10 Heart), is expected to finish 11th in the 13-team standings. The navy and gold are under new leadership as Andy Commins begins his first season at the helm.

Central Methodist is picked to win the conference for the third year in a row, while Baker, Missouri Valley, Benedictine, and MidAmerica Nazarene complete the top five.

Clarke, Evangel, Grand View, Culver-Stockton, and Graceland are 6-10 on the list, while Park and Mount Mercy conclude the rating.

The Statesmen begin the fall with a road game against Morningside on Saturday, August 28 in Sioux City.
