Oskaloosa–The two Statesmen grapplers who have qualified for nationals are projected to be in the running for All-America honors as the final regular-season NAIA wrestling poll was released Wednesday.

133-pounder Joao Vicente (Fr., East Providence, R.I., Secondary Education) and 197-pounder Kyle Soderblom (So., Newton, Iowa, Biology) are both ranked 11th in their respective weight classes.

William Penn finishes the regular season with an unofficial ranking of #26 (7 points).

Grand View remains #1 with 163.5 points, while Southern Oregon is still second with 107 points. Dickinson State (N.D.) jumped five spots to #3 with 92.5 points, while Montana State-Northern (89) and Campbellsville (Ky.) (85.5) round out the top five.

In the final regular-season Central Qualifying Group ratings, William Penn is seventh with 38 points, while Grand View is first with 203 points.

The individual spots mirror the finishes from last week’s tournament as Vicente is third in the 133-pound class, Soderblom is fifth at 197 pounds, and Ishmael Rempson (So., Olympia Fields, Ill., Industrial Technology) is sixth at 157 pounds.
