Statesmen Wrap Up Pre-Holiday Slate in Nebraska

Crete, Neb.—The William Penn men’s wrestling team sent a small crew into action Saturday as it competed at the Doane Conner/Oppenheim Open.

The event featured two divisions–Open and Amateur.

Jacob Perry (Salisbury, N.C., Undecided) paced the Statesmen by winning four matches at the Amateur 149-pound weight class, including one fall and one technical fall.

In the Amateur 165-pound weight class, Kaleb Loving (So., Aledo, Ill., Secondary Education) claimed a pair of wins as well.

Next Up: William Penn is off for over a month, returning to action on Friday, January 10 by traveling to Atchison, Kan. to face Benedictine in a Heart of America Athletic Conference dual meet at 7 p.m.
