Statesmen Once Again Land in Receiving Votes Section

Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s volleyball team has slipped back into the receiving votes section as the NAIA released its third top-15 poll Wednesday.

WPU (12-7, 9-3 Heart) is now unofficially 17th in the nation with 47 points.

Missouri Valley now leads the Heart of America Athletic Conference at No. 3. A total of six Heart programs are ranked or receiving votes. Missouri Baptist (No. 5), Mount Mercy (No. 7), Grand View (No. 8), and Park (No. 9) are also all ranked in the top 10.

The Master’s (Calif.) remains atop the NAIA standings with 212 points and all 12 first-place votes. Saint Xavier (Ill.) is second, while Lawrence Tech is fourth to round out the top five.

The Statesmen travel to St. Louis, Mo. Friday to face Missouri Baptist in Heart play at 7 p.m.
