COMMENTS
Holy Cow that was a GREAT match tonight. We knew going into DC it would be tough with home court advantage and senior night. Emotions were high, but we had to stay focused. Our 1st set didn’t go as planned, but we bounced back and won by outscoring DC by 10 in the 2nd set. We just made some mistakes at crucial times in the match that cost us the set. The same happened in the 3rd set, beating ourselves with errors. DC did a great job of picking up our hits and scrambling to get to any ball. I am proud of how our team did not get down when we lost those sets. They were determined to do all they could to win this match. Our serving was aggressive in stressful moments and that helped to keep us in the match. We will continue to work on our defense and hitting balls outside our comfort zone. Total team effort tonight. We are off the rest of the week, but come back on Monday with Osky at EBF then Tuesday we travel to Albia.
