Register now for Mahaska Health Partnership’s Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

MAHASKA COUNTY – Mahaska Health Partnership’s Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will be held Friday, Oct. 5 on the Square in Oskaloosa from Noon to 1:00 pm.

According to MHP PR/Marketing Coordinator Cassie Riley, there is still time to sign-up. “The deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 19 but we will still accept registrations for a few days after that,” Riley explained. “Even if someone can’t actually attend the walk, their support is greatly appreciated.”

Riley said the registration fee is $25 and includes a long-sleeve commemorative t-shirt. “All proceeds collected from our activities in October are donated to the Southeast Iowa Affiliate of Komen for the Cure,” Riley explained, “We receive grant money from them annually to provide free digital mammograms for women with a financial need.”
