Paul Miller Bolibaugh, 80, of Ottumwa, IA passed away at home on June 3, 2016 after a long battle with COPD. Paul Miller Bolibaugh was born July 11, 1935 in Oskaloosa, IA, The son of Dean & Ruth (Miller) Bolibaugh of Eddyville, IA.
Paul was raised on the family farm east of Eddyville. He was united in marriage to Marie Erickson on March 22, 1959.
Paul and Marie raised their family on the family farm until 1984. Paul spent the next 20 years as an insurance salesman, concrete/construction worker, repairman, husband, father and the best grandpa ever!
Paul enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with family.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Marie, of Ottumwa; sister, Alice (& John) DeRooi; sister in law, Verna Bolibaugh; 2 sons: Ernie (& Rena Sheehy) Bolibaugh of Epworth, IA, Alan (& Jody) Bolibaugh of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a daughter, Joy Bolibaugh of Ottumwa, IA; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dean & Ruth Bolibaugh; 2 brothers: Richard (& LaDonna) Bolibaugh and Don Bolibaugh; a daughter, Gayl (& Ed) Williams; & a granddaughter, Latisha Williams.
Paul’s wishes were to be cremated.
A visitation and celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel in Eddyville. Paul’s family will be greeting friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday.
Burial with military honors will follow services at Memorial Lawn Cemetery of Ottumwa.
