Osky XC Team At Mt. Pleasant

The Osky XC team was in action tonight on another beautiful night at Mt. Pleasant. Both varsity teams came away with 2nd place finishes, while the JV boys won the JV race with a perfect score of 15!

“I am really happy with how we ran tonight. We just keep getting better and better each week. I just cannot believe how improved we are from week 1. I challenged the team this week to get into the top two and they did – beating teams that we had lost to earlier in the year. I was really impressed with how mentally focused they were for the meet and how they attacked the course.”

“Patrick ran a nice race, finishing in 2nd to pace the team. Aden and William were both able to run in the 18s, which is the first time William has done that this year. Those two as well as Reid Luck and Reed Peterson were able to finish in the top 20 to round out our scoring.”

“The girls team had big time improvements across the board. Sage Adam ran an amazing race to finish in 2nd place – she broke 21:00 for the first time in her career and continues an impressive improvement from the beginning of the year. Anna Coniglio and Addi Carter pack ran well – Addi ran a really gutsy race which was a nice bounceback for her. Olivia Stodghill ran another lifetime best, while Evie Adam, Faith Coniglio, and Sarah Phillips ran their fastest times of the year to help us edge out Fairfield by 1 point.”

“The JV team dominated with a perfect score (finishing 1st-5th) led by Phillip Abrahamson’s first place finish. The JV took 12 of the first 23 spots. They expected to win and went out and did it.”
