Osky News seeks Christmas Light Display Contest entries
Osky News Christmas Light Contest 2010
We here at Osky News are very interested in the local Christmas light displays this year. That is why we are asking you to enter your light display in our Christmas Light Display Contest. Anybody in Mahaska County is welcome to enter a display. We will photograph all entries over the first two weeks in December and display them on our website and facebook page. All persons wishing to enter their light display will have until December 11th at 12:00 pm to enter.
Residents will have a chance to vote on which light display they like the most. We will begin the voting at 5 pm on December 12th and run it until 12:00 am December 18th. The winning light display will be announced at 12:00 pm on December 18th.
The final voting numbers will be announced on December 18th. The winning light display will get a feature story about their light display as well as 6 dozen homemade cookies from frugal living writer Martha Comfort and two hours of free in shop computer labor from Oskaloosa Computers and Technology, a $140.00 value.
We ask that when you enter, please include your name, your address, the address of the light display (if different than your address), and your phone number or e-mail address.
