Oskaloosa JV Golf Teams Show Growth at Pella Invite
Pella, Iowa — The Oskaloosa junior varsity boys golf teams turned in a solid performance Monday evening at the Pella JV Invitational, showing significant progress on the challenging Bos Landen course. JV1 finished in 4th place with a team score of 181, while JV2 secured 7th with a 201.
Jaxon Saville paced the Indians with a 43, finishing strong and missing medal contention by just two strokes. Ethan VanderLinden followed with a 45, Grady Kool carded a 46, and Cael Ashman added a 47 to round out the JV1 team total. Merek and Kelen Padgett both posted 49s to lead the JV2 squad.
Additional team contributors included Kinnick Wright, Colin Johnson, Lukas Toubekis, Ty Lorentzen, John Coniglio, and Oscar Chambers — all of whom helped strengthen the depth of the lineup and gain valuable experience heading into the final weeks of the season.
JV1 will return to action Tuesday as part of the Oskaloosa Invitational, joining the varsity squad on their home course. The rest of the JV team will next compete on May 8 at the Osky JV Invite, which marks their final tournament of the year.
