OMS Surpasses Goal In Hoops for Heart Fundraiser

Physical Education teacher Betsy Luck was taped to the wall with duct tape as the Oskaloosa Middle School

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Students at the Oskaloosa Middle School surpassed their goal in fundraising in their annual Hoops for Heart fundraiser for the American Heart Association. As a school, they raised $4,598.66 their goal was $4,100. For achieving this goal middle school Physical Education teacher Betsy Luck was taped to the wall with duct tape. Luck says, “I’m very proud of how much money the students raised this year through Hoops for Heart for the American Heart Association.” “We have been touched closely this year by a heart disease with the death of fellow teacher Clark Holthaus and the students took up the challenge to beat the goal”
