Men Ranked 32nd, Women 44th
Oskaloosa–Entering their final regular season tournament before the league championships at month’s end, the William Penn bowling teams are in great position to again extend their campaigns into postseason play.
The men are ranked #32 in a year that includes five top-10 finishes. WPU is second amongst Midwest Collegiate Conference programs, behind only #15 St. Ambrose. Jacques Kaune (Jr., Anchorage, Alaska, Business Management) is pacing the team as he is ranked #61 in the nation with a 202.3 average in 53 games. The junior has four top-25 finishes to his credit.
On the women’s side, William Penn is #44, ranking fifth in the MCC (Grand View is the top team at #10). The Statesmen have posted five top-10 finishes and are led by Stephanie Adams (So., Souris, Manitoba, Business Management). The sophomore is #34 in the country with a 193.3 average (51 games) and has finished in the top 25 on six occasions.
William Penn travels to Indianapolis, Ind. Saturday and Sunday to compete in the Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic.
