Maroon Night at the Stadium, Friday September 9

Indian fans and stadium supporters are encouraged to wear inaugural season t-shirts on the field at halftime of Friday’s game. Shirts are available at Swim’s or at the game for a $20 donation.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Friday, September 9, will mark the Oskaloosa Indian Booster Club first-ever Maroon Night at the new stadium. The Boosters encourage residents to buy a maroon stadium shirt and wear it to Friday’s game to support the Indians and the inaugural football season of the stadium project.

Maroon stadium shirts are on sale now at Swims for $20. Shirts will also be available at the game Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Youth sizes SML and adult sizes S-3X are available.

“The shirts were donated to the Boosters, so 100 percent of the $20 fee goes to support additional development of the stadium complex,” said Tina Schaffner, who is organizing the t-shirt/stadium donation project for the Boosters.

“We want to encourage the community to be part of the stadium building project,” said Schaffner. All donors will be invited onto the field at halftime of the Oskaloosa vs. Centerville game to be recognized. Anyone who purchased a t-shirt or made a contribution through the Oskaloosa Indian Booster Club, William Penn University or Mahaska Community Recreation Foundation is considered a donor.

The Oskaloosa Indians take on Centerville, Friday at 7:30. There will be no 9th grade game.
