Margaret Jennette Willetts, age 95, formerly of Albia died March 9, 2021 at her home in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Margaret was born December 3, 1925 to Ralph and Mabel Whitlock Ewers in Albia where she lived her entire life until 2012.
Margaret graduated from Albia High School in 1943 and attended Drake University for 3 years.
On May 31, 1946 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Willetts in Albia. To this union, 3 children were born, James, David, and Jennette. Margaret and Kenneth shared 35 years of marriage prior to his passing on December 22, 1981.
Margaret was a member of the First Christian Church and P.E.O. She was the librarian at the Albia Public Library for ten years and owned the Ralph N Ewers store of Albia with her husband Kenneth during their married life.
Margaret is survived by her children: James (& Marti) Willetts of Centerville, Iowa, David Willetts of Richfield, Minnesota and Jennette (& Phillip) Robinson of Prior Lake, Minnesota; her grandchildren: Kristine Eyheralde of Centerville, Iowa, Michael (& Katja) Willetts of Urbandale, Iowa, Beth Robinson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Sarah (& Tim) Johnson, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; seven great-granddaughters; ten nieces and nephews; and one brother, George Ewers of Marshalltown, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mabel Ewers; her husband, Kenneth Willetts; her sister, Nancy Ewers Bundy; and her brother, Alan Ewers.
Per Margaret’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
