MAHASKA COUNTY – Beginning Monday, Sept. 24, the entrance to Mahaska Health Partnership Medical Specialty Center, entrance #4, will be temporary relocated.
As construction continues on MHP’s new Patient Care Wing, steps are being taken to create a more patient-friendly environment. The latest changes involve the temporary relocation of the Medical Specialty Center entrance (#4), located on the north side of MHP’s Oskaloosa campus. This will affect patients utilizing MHP Specialty Services as well as those going to Family Medical Center.
Patients should still access the Medical Specialty Center using North 12th Street and will still park in the same area. The new entrance will be located just west of the former doors, and patients will need to walk through the Specialty Services Waiting Area to get to their destination.
“When construction on the Patient Care Wing is completed, there will be one entrance for both buildings,” said MHP CEO Jay Christensen. “We have temporarily relocated the entrance to keep our patients and visitors safe while construction crews are working to connect the two buildings.
“This change will bring us one step closer to bringing our facilities up to the same high quality level as our healthcare team that is here to serve you.”
The temporary entrance/exit is expected to be utilized for approximately two months before the new entrance is complete.
