Mahaska County Y Announces Free Soccer Clinic

Oskaloosa, July 11, 2011 – The Mahaska County YMCA will be offering a FREE soccer clinic on July 16, 2011, open to the community. This free clinic is available to children ages 5-8 from 9:00-10:00am and ages 9-14 from 10:15-11:30am. Registration is not required to attend the free clinic. The event will be hosted by Challenger Sports, the largest and most popular camp program in the USA, on the U14 soccer field at the Lacey Complex.
The free soccer clinic will give children a taste of what is to come during the August 1-5 British Soccer program hosted by the YMCA. During the free clinic, a British Soccer coach will provide information to parents and children about the 5-day camp. Sports Director Ryan Harkema said, “We are happy to offer the community a free event and hope to gather interest in the August camp.” Camp age groups, times, and prices are as follows*:
Ages 3-4 9:00 – 10:00am $68
Ages 5-6 10:30 – 12:00pm $81
Ages 7-9 9:00 – 12:00pm $108
Ages 10-14 1:00 – 4:00 pm $108
*Late fee of $10 applied after July 22 for camp registration.
To register for the August 1-5 British Soccer camp, please pick up a registration form at the Mahaska County YMCA, at 414 North Third Street in Oskaloosa.
