Mahaska County Supervisors Canvas LOST Election
Oskaloosa, Iowa The end of a contentious public referendum came to a close on Monday, as the Mahaska County Supervisors certified the LOST election, that had the 1 cent tax continued in all portions of the county, with the exceptions of Fremont and the unincorporated portion of the county.
Jim Blomgren was elected as the Mahaska County Attorney during the special election. He had no opposition during the election.
Cablevey Conveyors was awarded a low-interest loan through the Mahaska County Revolving Loan Fund.
The loan is for $150,000.00 at 2.625% over 5 years. This will help the local company acquire additional space for continued growth, that will see new jobs created and others retained in their Oskaloosa facility.
