Lake Named Heart Bowler of the Week

Oskaloosa–Alexis Lake (Sr., Kaysville, Utah, Nursing) turned an all-tournament award into more recognition as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Bowler of the Week Monday.

Lake won her first weekly laurel by finishing high at the Warhawk Open last Saturday. Her efforts helped William Penn to place second in qualifying and claim the runner-up spot in match play.

The senior placed third out of 195 players with a 204.5 average (1,227 pins). She opened with a 208, one of four times she eclipsed the 200 mark. Lake’s top round came in the fourth game when she posted a season-high 236.

For the year, Lake owns a 193.5 average in 14 games.

The award is the first for the program this year.
