Kronmuller, Leasure Tabbed for S-A Award

Oskaloosa–Two members of the Lady Statesmen golf team were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Golf Scholar-Athletes.

Courtney Kronmuller (Jr., Fountain Valley, Calif., Fullerton CC), who majors in public relations, and Aubrey Leasure (Sr., St. Peter, Minn., St. Peter HS), who majors in business management, both own 3.60 Grade Point Averages. The awards are the first for both individuals.

The NAIA announced that 105 women’s golfers were awarded the laurel.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
