Knoxville Sweeps Indians Baseball

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) fell to Knoxville 6-5 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at five with Knoxville batting in the bottom of the seventh when Hayden Hatch singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Knoxville got on the board in the first inning when an error scored two runs for Knoxville.

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) scored three runs in the third inning. Spencer Vaughan and Kam Criss each drove in runs during the inning.

Niko Lacona got the start for Knoxville. The bulldog went three innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out four.

Criss was on the pitcher’s mound for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). The bulldog lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out two. Caleb Cohrt threw four innings in relief.

In Walk-off, Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) Loses To Knoxville

A walk-off left Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Knoxville on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with Knoxville batting in the bottom of the eighth when Jaden DeRonde induced Dakota Ramsey to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) collected seven hits and Knoxville had eight in the high-scoring affair.

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) got things started in the first inning. Trey Wight threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity).

Knoxville evened things up at six in the bottom of the sixth inning when Beau Leisure drew a walk, scoring one run.

Knoxville scored three runs in the sixth inning. Knoxville batters contributing to the big inning included Luke Spaur, Trenton Kingery, and Leisure, all driving in runs in the inning.

Wight led things off on the mound for Knoxville. The ace lasted five innings, allowing three hits and six runs while striking out three.

Logan Hoskinson led things off on the hill for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). The bulldog surrendered three runs on five hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. DeRonde and Caden Johnson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Knoxville racked up eight hits on the day. Lincoln Norris and Kingery all managed multiple hits for Knoxville.
