Juanita M. Good, 74, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, August 25, 2019, at MHP Hospital in Oskaloosa. She was born December 20, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Robert and Josephine Hucks.

Juanita graduated from Parkville High School with the class of 1962. After graduation she attended two years of business school in Maryland.

On November 4, 1965, she was united in marriage to Claude Good in Alexandria, Virginia.

Early on Juanita worked at Young’s Mens Clothing in Baltimore and later she worked for Republic Lines for a short time. In 1970, the family moved to Iowa. She worked at Econofoods in Oskaloosa for 17 years before retiring due to ill health.

Juanita enjoyed reading, especially James Patterson books.

Her family includes her husband, Claude Good of Oskaloosa; her children: Michelle (& Jason) VanderMolen of Oahu, HI, Barbara (& Tim) VanPolen of New Sharon, and Donald (& Donna) Good of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, George and Robert ; and her mother and father in law, Donald and Barbara Good.

As was Juanita’s wish her body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
