GRINNELL LEADS MIDWEST CONFERENCE WITH 254 ALL-ACADEMIC SELECTIONS
RIPON, Wis. – Grinnell College landed a league-best 254 student-athletes on the Midwest Conference All-Academic Team for 2012-13.
The Academic All-Conference program has a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.33 and is calculated only in the awarded academic season rather than the cumulative GPA.
Grinnell led MWC schools in All-Academic picks during two of the three sports seasons. The Pioneers had a league-best 105 All-Academic selections during the fall and 71 in the spring. Grinnell had 78 selections in the winter, second-best in the MWC.
Grinnell fared best in women’s soccer, where 23 student-athletes earned All-Academic recognition. The Pioneers had 21 selections in women’s outdoor track and 19 in women’s indoor track and men’s outdoor track. Grinnell added 17 selections in men’s soccer and women’s swimming.
