Price: $60

The Writers’ Room – Where creativity is unleashed, stories are grown, and friendships are forged.

New this year is a day just for the story creators! This season of the Writers’ Room will focus on writing episodes for the “What IF?” camp to perform. So pitch your story ideas and work as a team to complete a new episode each week. In addition, we’ll practice theatre skills like improvisation, observation, and bonding with your team. Writing doesn’t have to be lonely! What’s more fun, chaotic, and energizing than creating characters and giving them a voice in the world? We invite families to join us for an informal showcase on the last day of camp.

• LevelUP: There’s no ‘I’ in ‘SCENE – Starts OCTOBER 21

Age: Grades 5th-8th //Time: 3:30-5:30 PM // Thurs./Fri.,

Oct. 21-Dec.10

Price: $80

“Don’t come any closer! You’re wearing the color…wenge.”

Hone your directing skills and your performing chops in this camp featuring two-person scenes done at six feet. Two siblings fight over who gets to choose the family Christmas tree, an actor tries to avoid applause at all costs, and someone gets a visit from their future self. Practice the process of staging a scene with a teammate, and remember, “There’s no “I” in “SCENE!”

We invite families to join us for an informal showcase on the last day of camp.

*LevelUP is for tweens looking for a more disciplined process – polishing their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Previous experience is not required but can be helpful. LevelUP rehearsals move quickly and are generally more rigorous than other camps.

• What IF? – Starts NOVEMBER 8

Age: Grades K-5 //Time: 3:30-5:30 PM // Mon./Tues.,

Nov. 8-Dec.14

Price: $80

What if a turtle had to keep a unicorn from breaking out of prison?

What if a parrot fell into a vat of chocolate pudding?

Or what IF you were the archnemesis of a musical pony?

We’ll strengthen our wondering muscles in this camp by sending “what if?” questions to the middle school writers’ room. They’ll turn them into wacky stories we can perform! Along the way, we’ll use theatre to practice collaboration, communication, creativity, confidence, and critical thinking by playing theatre games, creating characters, and putting on a play. We invite families to join us for an informal showcase on the last day of camp.
