Daymien J. “D.J.” Waters, 22, of Oskaloosa passed away Monday at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Services Serenity House.
Daymien J. Waters, son of Darrell DeVries and Janna Lynn Waters, was born, March 17, 1993, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Daymein attended Oskaloosa Schools. He married Kaylee Lynn Wells, July 4, 2015, at the Rose Hill Community Church.
He enjoyed remote control cars, skateboarding, fishing, family gatherings and being out in nature.
Daymien’s family includes his wife, Kaylee of Oskaloosa; his mother, Janna Waters of Osage Beach, MO; his father, Darrell DeVries of Ottumwa; a brother, Ross (& Amanda) Baxter of Oskaloosa, sisters: Amber (& Ryan) Patterson of Montezuma, Crystal DeVries, and Candis Messamaker of Centerville; several nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman Waters; and great-grandparents, Nellie and Tony Van Helton.
As was his wish his body has been cremated. Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
