Dammann Picks Up Second S-A Award, First for deVilliers
Oskaloosa–Two members of the William Penn men’s golf team were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Golf Scholar-Athletes.
Adriaan de Villiers (Jr., Akasia, South Africa, Akasia HS) owns a 3.86 Grade Point Average in industrial technology, while Geoff Dammann (Jr., Wyoming, Midland HS), who majors in computer technology, has a 3.73 GPA. The honor is Dammann’s second in his career.
The NAIA announced that 133 men’s golfers were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
