CSC Academic All-District Recognition Awarded to Six Statesmen
Oskaloosa–Six William Penn women’s soccer players were honored for strong 2024 seasons in and out of the classroom as they earned academic all-district honors from College Sports Communicators.
Madeline Danielson (Sr., La Crescent, Minn., Biology) and Jacque Schwager (Sr., Bondurant, Iowa, Psychology) paced the crew with identical 4.0 Grade Point Averages entering this fall. Danielson tallied 72 saves in 15 starts, while posting a 2.69 Goals Against Average. Schwager played in 17 games for the Statesmen.
Emma Brandt (So., Cologne, Germany, Sports Management), who owned a 3.86 GPA entering this fall, scored a team-high five goals from her defensive position. The sophomore started all 17 of WPU’s games.
Lina Regadane (So., So., Ijmuiden, Netherlands, Business Management) entered the fall with a 3.84 GPA and scored one goal with one assist in 17 games this year.
Olivia Walker (Jr., Caro, Mich., Biology) helped the William Penn defense to allow just 2.59 goals per game. She played in 16 contests in 2024 and came into the semester with a 3.77 GPA.
Playing in 17 games (16 starts), Luca Szucs (Jr., Gyor, Hungary, Exercise Science) recorded one goal in addition to four assists. She had a 3.74 GPA entering this fall.
The award combines both athletic and academic achievements. To be eligible for the award, individuals must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been enrolled at the nominating institution for one year (transfers use grades from their previous institution), and have a 3.50 Grade Point Average. Additionally, individuals must compete in 90% of games or start in at least 66% of games.
