Clarence “Buck” Schwab, 63, of Moberly, Missouri and formerly of Oskaloosa died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at North Village Park in Moberly.

Buck was born Tuesday, November 28, 1950 in Oskaloosa, the son of Marion F. and Georgia Gibson Schwab. Buck graduated from Oskaloosa High School. Following school, Buck worked various jobs one of which was working for his father at Farmer’s Cashway Lumber in Oskaloosa.

On September 20, 1991, Buck was united in marriage to Eileen Sorge in Oskaloosa and she died May 16, 2003.

Buck always had a great love of animals and always had a dog. He also enjoyed country music and working on cars. Buck often attended Gateway Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed the Saturday Morning Men’s Prayer Group. He also enjoyed coffee time with his friends at Central Reformed Church. Buck moved from Oskaloosa to Moberly in 2011.

Buck is survived by a special aunt, Winifred Sheard; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Mitt Williams of Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two sisters: Sandra Kay and Marsha Rust; and a brother: Stephen F. Schwab.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 8:30 A.M. in the Fireside Room at Gateway Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Dave Childers officiating.
Burial will be in the Old White Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:00 A.M. until service time at 8:30 A.M. in the at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa. A procession will form at 9:20 A.M. at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene for those wishing to go to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Buck’s family asks that memorials be made to the Buck Schwab Memorial Fund.
