Chegwidden Wins Weekly Award

Oskaloosa–Zachary Chegwidden (So., Essex, England, Business Management) guided the Statesmen men’s golf team to a pair of crowns last week and his efforts helped him be named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week Monday.
Chegwidden notched his third career accolade by topping William Penn at both the Southeastern CC Invitational and the Clarke Classic; WPU finished first at both to open the season.
The sophomore was third at Southeastern with an even-par 72, and then carded rounds of 82 and 75 to tie for fifth at Clarke at 157. For the year, Chegwidden owns a 76.3 scoring average.
The award is the first of the year for WPU.
